This tree reminds me of a Japanese Maple, casting delicate dappled shade and looking very at home in the shade, underplanted with all the beautiful spring ephemerals and ginger and hostas … Not too tall, 15-20′ and grows in tiers naturally. This is a WI native. Doesn’t love dry soil.
