This is a small stature tree, about 30′, with a sweet umbrella shape. Compound leaves make it look kind of frilly, and a great thing is that it blooms in midsummer – after the flurry of everything else making themselves known. The flowers are reminiscent of wisteria or black locust, very fragrant, attracts pollinators, endures wet or drought, nitrogen fixing (read as “feeds itself”) What’s not to love?
