Travels

I traveled the last few days to Maryland to vend at a fiber show as part of Ewetopia and love to see the transition of blooming spring as we go. First lots of Redbuds through Illinois and Indiana, then Black Locusts as we veered south, and into Flowering Dogwood, Amur Maackia, Fringetree, and fully leafed out oaks as we got deep into Maryland.

I start to feel like I’m missing our beautiful slow spring, but no! How glad I was to get home and see that it’s all still happening.

Pink Flowering Horsechestnut
Katsura- I love the coral pink axillary buds bud you have to get close
The last hurrah of a little woodland I brought when I moved from Readstown- known by the sweet name Bird in a Bush
Dwarf Iris
And so many violas!!
Hello friends!

I hope you’re enjoying the slow unfolding of spring in your neighborhood. I’ll be open for real starting this Thursday May 8, but until then you are welcome to shop the chaos that is here now. And, who am I kidding, will still be here Thursday.

I have a few selections outside the door at Ewetopia. and that has been fun to see some blooming greenery outside the door. Gardeners and fiber folk are all chasing color one way or another.
